DOGGIEDOG is a day-care center for dogs. Your dog is with us in a large fenced-in playing field, where he can play safely the whole day.
Dogs by nature love companionship and congeniality and it is not nice for them to sit alone at home all day. Unfortunately, not everybody has the time to stay at home for their dog everyday. DOGGIEDOG is the perfect solution for this dilemma!
It is also good for your dog's social skills to participate in our group. You will quickly notice that when taking your walks, your dog has more trust with other dogs. He has just learned with us that other dogs are not frightening, but fun!
Intake:
Before your dog can participate, it is the idea that you come visit us on the playing field to make acquaintance with us, the field, the other dogs, and most of all, to see if your dog will enjoy it with us. Your dog needs to be at least 4 monts old, and have all his preventative shots. You are welcome for an orientation around 12:00 or 13:00 o'clock. How:
1.DOGGIEDOG can pick up your dog at home or work with our "DoggieBus" that is complete with airco, tie-ons and blankets and cushions so that your dog can be transported in comfort. DOGGIEDOG rides in Amsterdam and parts of Amstelveen.
2. You can bring your dog yourself between 8.00 and 10.00, and pick him up between 16.00 and (before!) 18.30 hours at the end of the day.
Where:
Your dog will enjoy the large fenced-in playground next to the Spaarnwoude recreation area. There he can run and play the whole day under our supervision. Older dogs and puppies can rest in a kennel or bed in our heated cantine. We also go for walks and swims in small groups in the recreation area, and we have a special puppy field.
In bad weather the dogs can curl op inside by the stove or take shelter under our roof.
Extras:
If your dog is on medicine, or needs to eat at a certain time, we'll do what you don't have the time for! Let us know what your specific needs are. We work closely with a behavioral- therapist and a veternarian, and if we notice anything with your dog, we'll discuss that with you. We give your dog the personal attention he needs, including brushing, hugging and petting, and cookies. In short, DOGGIEDOG is a real day care center.
Who:
We are 9 dog lovers who make work out of our play. We have all had lessons from a behavioral-therapist and have studied animal first-aid. Every day there are 4 of us on the field, and 3 buses shuttle the pooches.
